The Alleluia is chanted before the Gospel lesson in the Eucharistic liturgies of the various Christian liturgical rites. Alleluia will be solemnly chanted at other times also, usually in conjunction with Psalm verses.
The Hebrew word Halleluya as an expression! of praise to God was preserved, untranslated, by the early Christians as a superlative expression! of thanksgiving, joy, and triumph. Thus it appears in the ancient Greek Liturgy of St. James, which is still used to this day.
The Alleluia is part of the Proper of the Mass in the Roman Rite. It follows the Gradual and comes before the reading of the Gospel.

엠마 커크비의 레퍼토리는 12세기의 힐데가르트 빙엔 등 중세 음악, 존 다울랜드,토머스 탈리스 등 영국 르네상스 음악, 비발디 바흐 헨델 등 바로크 칸타타와 종교 음악들, 모차르트의 아리아와 모테트 미사곡 등에 걸쳐있습니다.
